Does this work with VS2010?

I just want to compare two files and I have not been able to get this to work with VS2010. Anyone know the trick?

At the moment only visual studio 2008 is supported. I'll take a look if I can get it working for VS2010 and VS2012.

I added support for VS2010. It should work fine now. This does not work with VS2012 yet, but after I get VS2012 installed I can start working on it.

Thanks for the reminder. I had forgot to push the changes and add support for 2012. A new build has been uploaded. If you find any problems, don't hesitate to post them here. Also any feature suggestions or enhancements are appreciated!

Known issues:

1. If the add in isn't registered when you start visual studio 2012, you may need to Uninstall the Visual Studio Comparison Tools, Remove files: VisualStudioComparisonTools.AddIn and VisualStudioComparisonTools.dll (and log4net.dll if it not used by any other addin) from C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\MSEnvShared\AddIns\

2. Running visual studio without administrator privledges will show and error message: "The add-in Visual Studio Comparison Tools failed to load... C:\ProgramData\Application Data\Microsoft\MSEnvShared\AddIns\VisualStudioComparisonTools.addin" will be renamed. Error message: Access Denied" Error number 80070005

To solve this, you either need to right click the link and select "Run as Administrator" or you can move files log4net.dll, VisualStudioComparisonTools.AddIn and VisualStudioComparisonTools.dll to your user's local AddIn folder. This will hopefully be fixed in the future releases.
